The National Bank of Yemen ranked first among Yemeni banks for the year 2023, according to the international company "Bankers Almanac."

This achievement is the culmination of the National Bank of Yemen's ongoing efforts to develop its banking performance and advanced services, and its commitment to the highest standards of governance and transparency. Bankers Almanac's evaluation was based on a set of precise criteria, including the bank's financial performance, solvency, asset quality, adherence to compliance and anti-money laundering standards, and the bank's level of cash liquidity.

The 2025 Arab Banking Conference kicked off in Cairo, the Egyptian capital, under the theme "Partnerships between the Public and Private Sectors to Financing the Economy." On the sidelines of the conference, the Board of Directors of the Union of Arab Banks held its meetings (119th Regular Meeting) and (120th Regular Meeting) in Cairo, Arab Republic of Egypt, on Monday, April 28, 2025. In its 120th meeting, the items of which included the election of a Chairman and Vice Chairman for the formation of the 8th Council, as this was preceded by the formation of a Board of Directors for the 8th session.

On the fact that some websites impersonated the name logo, and description of the Yemen National Bank in order to publish news , information , data and documents made to the Yemen National Bank and its management in connection with it. Accordingly ,we warn all our customers , our clients and all official...., legal and natural entities against relying on the information , data documents , documents and news that these fake websites publish and relying only on what is published on the only official website of the Yemen National Bank which is www.nbyemen.com Note that the management of the Yemen National Bank Headquarter – Aden The General Administrative is in the process of taking all legal measures against those sites that have impersonated the official website of the Yemen National Bank and the bank’s management does not bear the slightest responsibility for the content that these fake sites publish . Noting that and based on the approval of the Central Bank of Yemen, Headquarter-Aden , reference (246/S/CBY), THE Yemen National Bank Headquarters – Aden General Administration published a warning announcement on 24th December,2019 through official and local newspapers and websites , including not to deal with the authorities that By seizing its branches in the areas under the control of the coup authorities in Sana’a .

We the National Bank of Yemen, having its Head Quarters / Aden, the Republic of Yemen warn:
Each of the bank's customers , the banks working in the Republic of Yemen, individuals, corporations, companies and other  of legal persons or Natural  persons, against dealing with the chief excutive Officer appointed , without legal of professinal merit , by the Coup' Authority, in Sana'a , or branches' manager (Sana'a , Hodeida , Islamic  transactions , and management of Islamic transactins - Sana'a)and the staff working in such branches or apporoving their signatures on any transactions or acts issued from the branches and departments of bank located on their acts by using papers and seas of such branches or any paper or other stamps carrying the bank name , its logo and deem it null.
With confirmation that previous or subsequent acts or dealings according to what was stated in the annoucement are considered null and void , by the force of law and make those responsible for them subject to legal accountability based on the laws and  decisions in force.
therefore :
The National Bank of Yemen holds the coup's authorities in Sana'a and chief executive officer appointed by them and who deals with him or with the branches and departments of the bank located int the region s of the coup's  authorities  influence, with full civil and criminal responsibilty, losses and material and moral damages for  these  acts and transactions, while ensuring that the bank reserves its rught to claim just and proper compensation before the local and international authorities .

About receiving claim From the National Bank of Yemen /Aden ,  Not to deal with branches of National Bank of Yemen (Sana'a and Hodeida )Management of Islamic transactions in San'a and Islamic tranches in Sana'a Base on the law no. (14) for the year 2000 concerning the establishment of The Central Bank of Yemen and the its revisions, and law no (38) for the year 1998 concerning the banks , and the Republic Decision  No.(119) for the year 2016 concerning relocate The Central Bank 's transactions departmnet from Sana'a to Aden, reshaping the bank board of directors, and based on the Republic Decision No. (32)
For the year 2019 to appoint the Minister of Finance.
In this respect :
The Central  Bank of  Yemen warns all the banks working in the Republic of Yemen,  financial  corporations, banking companies and legal and natural persons, against , dealing with the chief executive officer appointed in Sana'a  , managers and staff of the National Bank branches (Sana'a, Hodeida) management of Islamic  transactions in Sana'a and the branches of Islamic in Sana'a against breaching articles of association of bank.
Not approving any transactions or acts issued by them using papers or stamps carrying the bank name and logo of the National Bank of Yemen as it is legally null and void. Any previous or subsequent acts or dealings done in violation to this warning make those reponsible for thereof violators liable to the legal accountability.

The Central Bank of Yemen announced that it had received a request from the National Bank of Yemen, requesting the transfer of its funds in treasury bills to the headquarters of the Central Bank in the temporary capital, Aden.

The Central Bank of Yemen, according to the bank’s account published on the “Facebook” website, warned everyone against trading or accepting previous National Bank bills certificates, as the Central Bank had issued alternative treasury bills certificates. The banking warning included the publication of the previous treasury bill certificate numbers.
